Are you insured?
Yes, our insurance covers up to £5,000,000 public liability and indemnity in line with EU Regulation EC 785/2004. This can be increased for specific projects, as per a client’s requirements.
Where can you fly your drones?
We can fly our drones anywhere we are approved. At the moment, we are UK-based but should the opportunity arise to operate our drones outside of the UK, we would work with the relevant National Aviation Authority to gain that permission.
How high can you fly?
Outside of the Flight Restriction Zone (FRZ), we are limited to 400’ above surface level. Inside of the FRZ, we can operate up to 2,000’ above surface level, with permission from the relevant Air Traffic Service Unit.
How far can you fly?
The drone can fly about 4 miles or 20,000′. Legally though, we are limited to 500m from the Remote Pilot, as long as visual line of site can be maintained. If we want to fly further away we either need to return the drone to base, land and start again further away or simply just move ourselves towards the direction of the drone.
Can you fly at night?
Yes, we are authorised to fly at night time.
Can you fly in London?
Yes, depending on location and airspace complexity we can fly in London, with approval from the National Air Traffic Services (NATS).
Can you fly near and on airports?
Yes, we can fly both near and on airports with permission from the relevant Air Traffic Service Unit and/or National Air Traffic Services (NATS).
How long can you fly for?
Our batteries last between 15-28 minutes. The DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 has a battery life of 28 minutes, longer than similar typical drones in the same category.
What drones do you operate?
Our main drone is a DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. We also wet lease lease a DJI Inspire 1 V2.0, a DJI Phantom 4 Pro + V2.0, a DJI Mavic Zoom and a DJI Mavic 2 Pro.
How fast can your DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 fly?
Our DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 has a maximum speed of 72 kph or 44 mph or 38 knots.
Why is there so much paperwork?
Every job we do, every mission we operate, has to be planned in very fine detail to make sure we are safe and legal. Our crews must also be fully briefed and we are required to keep records of every drone operation we undertake.
What is the photo capability of your camera?
20MP, FOV 84° 8.8 mm/24 mm (35 mm format equivalent) f/2.8 – f/11 auto focus at 1 m – ∞
What is the video capability of your camera?
Up to 4K/60fps at 100Mbps and 20MP for the camera
What is the turnaround time from performing the shoot to delivery of the media?
Depending on the complexity of the project, we aim to deliver the majority of media within 7 working days. Weddings and longer promotional videos often take longer.
Who edits your media?
We have a dedicated Media Editor who has a Diploma in Creative Media and TV Production. We also work with professional film production companies, depending on the size/nature of the job.
